Are people who naturally tan necessarily not at risk for skin cancer or other problems?
Rachel H asked:
I’m talking about the people who, when exposed to direct sun, tan instead of burning. Are they totally in the clear when it comes to skin cancer caused by direct sun?

No they are not immune to cancer. They recieve a sleight protection from the melanin in their skin, but it isn’t a cure-all. special-chemical-x
Everyone is at risk for skin cancer. Though you may have a different skin type than others, whether you tan or burn, the rays don’t care. You are just as likely as the next to develope skin cancer as the next if you are frequently in the sun! raekisses
The connection between sun exposure and skin cancer has been greatly exaggerated.
Vitamin D from the sun PREVENTS skin cancer as well as many other cancers and other common diseases.
Many times more people die from vitamin D deficiency diseases than from skin cancer. health_avenger
