Are there any good books devoted to biracial hair and skin care?
Megan G asked:
My brother and sister-in-law are adopting a biracial (African American & Caucasian) baby in December. Since they are both Caucasian, I’m afraid that they will assume that washing his hair daily would be ok, but I know that’s not the case.

So, do you know of any good books that would explain how caring for their child’s skin and hair will be different than caring for their own?
Yes, I’m sure they could look it up online, but I thought a book would be a nice shower gift.

can’t they just look up what they need to know online?
that kind of hair cant be treated with anything but soap and water…if you put gasoline on it,it turns orange…
It doesn’t matter, if it’s clean you can tell. If not wash the baby………
What is the problem?
It will be fine to wash everyday. Just use moisturizing shampoo and a good conditioner. If the hair is coarse then they will need to apply other necessary products.
ok, let me help you out ok.
They will need to do MORE than this. Black pple usually have like 2-3 different textures within our hair. Some have less, some have even more than that. They need to do more research online too. But this book is a good start.
