I have serious problems with my skin, especially my face but I cannot afford to pay for treatments straight away, can normsl GP in London advise me about skin problems?

    Yes - make an appointment with your local NHS clinic. If necessary, you will be referred to a specialist which is also free because it’s on the NHS. Olivia J

    The treatment of skin disorders is a specialized branch of medicine, called dermatology. Not all doctors have been trained, or even exposed, to that branch. So, if your GP has had experience in that field, then he should be able to help you. If not, then his knowledge is actually no greater than yours. As far as payment goes, you should ask him up front about making payments over time, or if he will waive his fees for someone in financial distress. zitdr_02
