Has your baby’s skin ever had this problem?
HanGirl asked:
I have a 2 month old, and he has dry, rough skin around the outside of his elbows and going up into his upper arm, as well as around the sides of his knees and around that area. These patches are a little red.

I just assumed it was caused by him laying down a lot, and those parts of his body were just the spots that constantly got rubbed by whatever fabric he lays on.
Did your baby have this problem? Do you think it could be a skin problem that needs to be checked out? I may call the doctor tomorrow and make an appointment.
Skin problems in 2 month old baby?
cyndi_rats asked:
My son is two months old. I noticed that his scalp seems to be very flaky - but it’s not yellow/crusty/greasy like cradle-cap. Is there a way to treat this? I’ve tried lotions and oils - they just seem to make his skin irritated. Also, my son had a bad case of infant acne that is clearing up - but now his skin just feels very dry and rough where the acne was - should I put lotion on it?

Any suggestions for a skin problem with my daughter?

My 10 month old gets red welt looking things on her thighs where her diaper rubs. I hate it and I do not know what to do to help. Her doctor said to switch diapers but the fact is that every diaper rubs on their legs no matter what brand. I have tried diaper cream, vasoline, and I do not want to do lotion because I am afraid it will sting and hurt her. I try to keep onesies on her to keep from rubbing. Has anyone else had this problem, what did you do?

Is it ok that honey is in my baby’s skin care products? Is it only harmful when ingested?
healthy_mind30 asked:
Anything you put on your skin goes into your body, but does honey have that same effect? I know it causes infant botulism if they eat it.

I have always used Johnson and Johnson for my 4.5 month old son. I know there are better products, so I’d like to hear what you think it’s the best? Not that I am not liking what I’m using now, but I would like to switch…to something better.
(talking about shampoo, lotion, oil)

What skin care products do you use on your baby?
Stephanie W asked:
Just curious what kind of lotions and creams and cleansers everyone else useson their babies/toddlers. I am also interested if anyone makes their own. I hear olive oil is good but I have not tried it. Also, my baby has eczema so if anyone can recommend any good products for it, that would be great!
Someone gave a thumbs down to all who said Johnsons. Is there something wrong with Johnsons? Can you elaborate for me?
