Is there a problem with Puerto Ricans and skin color?
I have this friend and she a really good girl. She’s half black and half puerto rican and has dark skin. If you saw her walking down the street, you’d think she was African American. We were talking the ohter day and she was explaining to me that most puerto ricans don’t accept her as being boricua…even though she was born on the island and speaks spanish. I didn’t understand. Do light-skinned puerto ricans have a problem with darker-skinned puerto ricans?
So, are darker skinned PR more accepted on the island than here in the states?
Why can’t white people accept that Michael Jackson was white because of a skin PROBLEM?
White people don’t want to accept the fact that people have to get a skin disease to look like them
Why do indians have problems with their skin?
Hi, I am born in Brazil, but I am a descendant of germans and austrians and speak german fluently. By the way, I’m coming back to Vienna on 25th November, once I got a great bound with this city.
I’ve read the indians always want clearing their skins, they don’t like it and want to look like as europeans.
I’d like to understand that. Could you explain me that?
Are there any good books devoted to biracial hair and skin care?
My brother and sister-in-law are adopting a biracial (African American & Caucasian) baby in December. Since they are both Caucasian, I’m afraid that they will assume that washing his hair daily would be ok, but I know that’s not the case.
So, do you know of any good books that would explain how caring for their child’s skin and hair will be different than caring for their own?
Yes, I’m sure they could look it up online, but I thought a book would be a nice shower gift.
