Ok, I know pms, is before you start bleeding. So skin problems fall under pms. My question is will my skin problems start to get better immediately after I start my period.
I really hope it’s not after my period is over (bleeding stops)
does the contraceptive pill make you gain weight and cause skin problems?
I’m just about to go on the pill, however I am worried that it will cause weight gain as this will cause me to become self concious, especially before I go away for my summer holiday. I go to the gym almost every day, eat healthily and am a size 8, so I feel good about my body as it is.
I have also heard that it causes skin problems which would also be a little distressing if it happened to me as a side effect.
So how likely would it be that I would gain weight and develop skin problems as a result of taking the pill??

I had got chicken pox a year before because of that i m having some spots on my body which are not yet going. I had tryed a skin specialist but i don’t get much time & rememberence & place to apply that creams. Though i had applied it sometimes in between bcoz of that i got more boils on my back & upper part of the breast & also some burns on my body. I want to clear the spots as soon as possible & have a clear, soft, smooth & shiney skin. Plz help me what should i do.

One of my best friends has told me that she’s got these stretch-mark sort of things on her buttocks and on the skin of her breasts.She’s tried some creams, but they won’t go away. Now this is affecting her self- esteem. Please tell me of some creams or medicines she could take to get rid of the marks.

Problems with skin & ortho-tricyclin lo?
I recently just started taking ortho-tricyclin lo [birth control] about 2-3 weeks ago, and since then, my skin has gone absolutely nuts. I have broken out in masses in places on my face where I almost never break out. I just got back from a trip to Hawaii, and have been under a lot of stress lately, so I don’t know what’s causing it, but would like to find out and get rid of it. So–anyone else had skin problems on this type of birth control? Thanks for the help!
Skin problems possibly caused by the pill-help?
Ever since I came off to pill (about 4 months ago) my skin has gone really bad, just on my forehead though.. tiny reoccuring pimples and blocked pores keep appearing..
I drink loads of water, eat well, excercise etc, I’m quite sure it’s nothing dietry..and have always had good skin before so I’m quite sure it’s due to the pill.. esp. because it happened last time I came off it a few years ago aswell, it’s too much of a coinscidence. My skin has been like this for the past couple of months.. I thought it would be out of my system now! (as I have heard that coming off the pill can cause skin problems) HELP?! Has anyone been throuhg this/have any remedies that could help?? I can’t bare to wait it out any longer! 
onlymatch4u- thanks for the essay on the conspiracy of drug companies.. but it’s not what i asked for, nor did i ever deny that the pill is dodgy.. i asked for advice on how i can possibly speed up the repair, yes, repair, process my skin is going through.
Women with PCOS, do you ever experience a skin problem like this?
Small pink/red spots (about the size of a pencil eraser) have been forming all over my stomach, the top of my legs and now, just recently, my chest. The spots aren’t itchy or burning or protruding or anything, they are just spots and a few of them seem like they might be slightly scaly but the majority of them are just spots. I can’t find any information on this and I was wondering if this might be related to my PCOS, or if any of you know what this might be.

I have a patch of this ugly looking dark skin around my lips. It extends about 2cm from each side and is continuously increasing. I’ve tried many types of masks on my skin, but nothing seem to work. I’m really worried about it coz um getting married in a while too.
Another problem with me is that I have an irregular menstrual cycle, which takes usually more than two months to complete. Doctors say that it will affect my child bearing process later. I’m not into any medication rite now bcoz my mum says its dangerous b4 marriage. Sum say it is affecting my skin badly and thats why I hav this dark skin patch.
