Google Veterinary Dermatologist. Your dog may have an allergy, parasites, contact dermatitis, or a systemic disorder causing the rash and itching? Has the vet prescribed any meds to reduce inflammation? Has the vet taken a skin scrape to identify parasites?

Not sure how many doctors you saw already, but you may need to keep trying until you find the right one. Meanwhile, a soothing pet shampoo with oatmeal may help her feel better. Z

Mmmm i suspect those are blackheads (like those found on the tip of the nose). Shaving or cleansing might not help sometimes.Consult a beautician if it is too serious or else u can give a try squeezing it out froggy

yes i have read about this , i own st bernards and it is something you have to watch out for, the eyelids turn in and irritate the eye. its called ENTROPION, the ve should be giving you soothing and eye ointments, but most cases do need the operation which will prevent further damage to the cornea. for the skin on his body try putting a cup full of vinegar in he bath water (nothing else) dont use any shampoo. vinegar is good for getting rid of allergy redness, ive tried this myself and it does work. if you dont use the vinegar (which i recommend) then buy some coal tar shampoo from your local petstore. entropion is hereditary so do not breed him or the poor puppies will end up with it. the sooner he gets the op the better because is eyes will become ulcerated and it can cause blindness. poor big pet.xx me

It could be fleas, could be ticks, lice or worst case mange. It could be a skin condition that has developed, possibly due to a skin allergy like you have said. Fleas are easy to rule out- run a flea comb through her fur, or just look for fleas or their black droppings. If you see any droppings, press them into white paper towels and they will look red due to the blood.

I would definitely take her to the vets. If it is visible, it could be something bad, and if it was any of the above, it would need to be sorted ASAP. Good luck :) zuhzoo

It could be a number of things, your vet may be able to help with the diagnosis, Take the rug off of the horse, that could be one of the causes of this strange skin condition. Make sure the horse is outside with out a rug, and gets fresh air and exercise for starters. Call the vet to get a professionals opinion. wahoo
