skin problems
Kimmy asked:

My 5 yr old cocker spaniel has this skin problem that comes and goes. I have not changed food or shampoo. She breaks out it seems like for no reason. Any body have any ideas for a home remedie? I take her to get cortizone shots at the vet but if there is something natural I would rather do that.

Try Purchasing a non allergenic shampoo from your vet or Pet Store

look for a vet (or get a reference from you vet) that does canine acupuncture. The treatments work for almost everything and they also use herbals for meds.

I would take her to the vet. You will need to get her some medication (not over the counter stuff) and change her diet. Try changing her shampoo to something more natural (good for dogs with skin allergies, usually available at vet clinic, SPCA or pet store) and don’t bathe her too often. Dogs should only be bathed once or twice per year so that they don’t lose their natural skin oils.
