I have a problem with ingrown hair which cause irritation and marks after I shave. Additionally I have very sensitive skin and even my shaving cream causes bumps and rashes. Is there anything I can do because even though I have all these hair removal problems fate would only see it fit that I am hairy and need to remove the hair of my legs AND hands.

  1. Ponds says:

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods. Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful. Electrolysis and laser hair removal are “permanent” hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged. A review of the various hair removal methods is available at Ponds

In addition to the above website, visit the resources below for more information on temporary and permanent hair removal methods and ingrown hair problems. Basically, shaving too close will produce ingrown hairs. Exfoliation on a regular basis can help reduce ingrown hairs. Pauline P
