Is it ok that honey is in my baby’s skin care products? Is it only harmful when ingested?

The honey in the lotion is processed, so no worries about it in terms of absorbing it through the skin.
Well, the honey in products are always mix with other components. It is true that honey in dangerous when taken by mouth. But to be on the safe side since babies are always sucking and licking on themselves….I would check with your baby’s doctor. Just to be sure. Better safe than sorry later.
Botulism (which can be a fatal poisoning) is the concern when it comes to infants eating honey - no need to be concerned over the honey in baby products, but any product can cause irritation or an allergic reaction so just keep track of what you use on your baby! Your baby will be fine if you don’t notice the baby getting sick or breaking out with a rash it fine. good luck
