that sounds like a yeast-based dermatitis if you’re lucky, mange (sarcoptic or demodectic) if you’re not (but that would’ve been detected by the vets doing skin scraping).
try purchasing an over-the-counter preparation like monistat or canestan and applying it to a section of her skin. apply polysporin to another spot. if the monistat/canestan spot clears, ti’s a fungus infection. if the polysporin spot clears, it’s a bacterial infection. if neither helps, it’s parasitic or allergy - flea dermatitis is a good one.
put your dog on raw food diet - this will eliminate food allergies, a common cause of skin ailments, and boost her immune system.
you’ll also need to go back to the vet and pay for bloodwork and skin tests - sorry, that’s just how it is. threenorns
Google Veterinary Dermatologist. Your dog may have an allergy, parasites, contact dermatitis, or a systemic disorder causing the rash and itching? Has the vet prescribed any meds to reduce inflammation? Has the vet taken a skin scrape to identify parasites?
Not sure how many doctors you saw already, but you may need to keep trying until you find the right one. Meanwhile, a soothing pet shampoo with oatmeal may help her feel better. Z
Could be a food allergy, a lot of dogs have trouble with wheat and corn
that is im many dry dog foods. Look at Blue Buffalo dog food. We have
a dog with those allergies and since we switched her over its gone and
her coat is way better Kevin
You know it is allergy season ,does it go away?
it could be a food allergy though, check your food if it has corn by products in it ,that could be the problem ,99 percent of food allergies in dogs are from corn, try to find a young vet , some of the older ones are like cavemen ,
cheers Chris
