My yorkie puppy has a skin problem please help?
YP asked:
He is 6 months old.
The symptoms are itching, lossing hair on his sides, biting his back, bald spots on his back and thighs, and the skin got darker on the bald spots.
I found some fleas and i gave him frontline plus 3 weeks ago he had fleas before but he never had skin problems like this before.
I wanna know what skin problem this is and what can i do.
Any suggestion would be helpful…and thanks for your time.

iNsTeAd oF aSkIn Us WhY DoNt U JuSt Go To The VeT?
He could have a skin infection or a type of mites. You’ll have to go to a vet to get some antibiotics or ivermectin for mites.
go to a vet!!!
If you truly ant to know what the problem is and what you can do about it, please call your vet and make an appointment to bring your dog in for a skin scraping. No one can tell you what it is without seeing the dog and only a vet can legally diagnose and treat a medical condition.
Don’t you think he/she is allergic to something in your house?
probably it’s the carpet or the air in the house.
though maybe it could be fleas inside his/her body.
that happened to my dog..
but anywhoo, good luck :[
Sounds like you need to take him to the Vet. We cannot see what you are talking about so the next best thing is the Vet. He/she knows lots more than we do.
you should probably take him to the vet!!!!!! good luck!!!!
Yorkies are known for skin allergies. What part of the US do you live in, climate has alot to do with this. Flea alleries can be critical to your dog, when the fleabits it caises the dogs skin to flare up and itch. So, keep on top of the fleadrops and flea control..another thing is your dog could have food allergies, that case the skin to react. The only way to really know what your dogs skin is reacting too, is by going to the vet and getting an allergy skin test..this will help..the vet can also give needed meds to relive any symptoms..I hope this helps..hang in there..never medicate your dog unless you see a vet. and changing food is not always the best thing to do…if you chage dog food from one brand to another always mix it equally and gradually to avoid upset
