Name of this Skin Condition? Problems with laser hair removal?
User asked:
I had laser hair removal a couple of days ago and have experience small red bumps on my face. The red bumps are also itchy, I was wondering if anyone is familiar with this skin condition. I’ve been taking a benadryl and using hydrocortisone on my skin. Has anyone else encountered this problem after laser hair removal?

It’s just a side effect of the laser hair removal. It’s in the healing process, and that’s good and normal. If it continues beyond 7-8 days, go see the doc again. Don’t go in the sun or the tanning bed for about two weeks. Mackie
The area that be treated of laser hair removal may become :
1. Pink or Red. The color is a response from the laser on the skin, clients describe it as mild sunburn.
2. Bumpy. The bumps are from the heat trying to escape from the hair follicle.
This reaction is very normal and temporary because the laser does not damage the skin, it usually subsides within a day or so. If necessary, the doctor may prescribe a topical cream or aloe on the area to cool your skin. Some people experience a slight crusting of the skin. If crusting occurs, keep the area moist with petroleum jelly (Vaseline).
Expect for 5 stages after laser hair removal treatment Rose
