Recurrent skin problem-Ringworm?
Quinn asked:
I’ve been having a problem with a skin infection for the past year or so. The first outbreak was a large ring about 6 inches across on the back of my left thigh. Eventually, it faded away, and I thought little of it until a few months later when a new infection cropped up on my lower left leg. That ring, about 2 1/2 inches across is still present along with about 8 or 9 new smaller ones, with new ones cropping up every couple weeks. I’ve been to the doctor several times, and the general consensus is that it is ringworm, a fungal infection. I’ve tried all manner of over the counter remedies and prescriptions including antifungal steroid and non-steroid creams and oral medications, and nothing has cleared it up. I can’t afford a trip to a dermatologist, as I don’t have health insurance, and the problem is getting ridiculous!!! Does anyone have any advice as to something I can do to get rid of this problem once and for all?!?!?!?!

Contact your local public health department. I’m sure they will give you some sort of medical treatment. Good luck;) Jenny G
believe it or not, the Tanactin foot medicine kills ringowrms. Apply it on there like 3 times daily. EARNEYW
The anti fungals found in the Athletes foot section should cure it- its the same thing as AF.
Be thankful you have it now- When I was a kid there was no cure, lost half my hair and some kids went completely bald, Military people brought it back from asia, we had a Mil hosptial here.
Check you area and see if there is a Hill Burton medical facitlity, they treat you free when no insurance, unless you are loaded. BILL
