i have a pair of red ear sliders, they have this excess skin that i think irritates them. is that a skin problem? how do i cure it?

Usual cause of excess shedding it over-feeding, and / or too high temps. 70-72F (around 20C) is fine for adult RES, and they only need feeding a couple of times a week, or every other day if younger
