I have tan spots on my arms and stomach, it started about 6 years ago, no one knows what it is, its just dime sized tan spots excep on my stomach its a very large patch, on my left arm its a medium sized spot. It changes color typically brown but sometimes red. At first i thought it was exema (however you spell it) but it doesnt harden, my skin feels normal except on certain occaisions it gets flakey, any idea what this is and how i can get rid of it?

My dogs had the problem last summer, but not nearly as severe. No problem in the winter. As soon as the weather started to get warm, the itching started and now my golden has no hair from mid-body to her tail. Her skin is red and very leather like. NO BATHS, all natural, expensive dog food, no flea collars, tried Benedryl for relief (doesn’t seem to help)
They seem so miserable, I have considered putting them down because I can’t seem to help them. My shepherd mix male just cries he is so uncomfortable. Dogs are not related and both about 6 years old.

Now, I thought it was some skin problem, but when they got wet and I scrub my hands deep in the area, I see little rolled up pieces of dirt coming off.

NOw what kind of soap, shampoo, body lotion or something can help me get the dirt off a lot quicker.
