Problems with acne and dry skin after gaining weight?

Before I gained weight I had no problem with acne at all and now I have it REALLY bad. I also realized that I have really dry skin. Before gaining weight of course I had dry skin sometimes but now if you look at my skin it’s almost like a light white ashy color over it. I have tried all kinds of stuff like lotions to help and for acne I have tried all kinds of face washes and creams and none help. Can anyone tell me why it’s changed now that I have gained weight and anything that might fix these things?
