Well My puppy’s hair is starting to thin in spots. I’m taking him in tomorrow for a skin scraping to check if it’s mange. I don’t know if it is my other dog shows no problems and I haven’t taken my puppy any where to catch mange except to the vet for his puppy shots.
He is a Bull Terrier does any one know if they are prone to skin disorders.

All my dogs are fed Canidae ALS, which I love for them. The only problem is one of my girls is developing skin problems. She is flaking, looks like a bad case of dandruff. I have heard that some dogs will react this way with ALS, but that some of the other varieties work better. I can’t remember if it is supposed to be Canidae Lamb & Rice or Chicken & Rice that you give to a dog with skin problems. Help me out here and remind me which one I should switch her too. Also if you had the same problems and did the switch, did it help your dog with problems?
OK, I will be a little more specific. She is only bathed once every couple of months. Her thyroid has been tested, she is normal. She has been vet tested and it is a skin problem created by diet, but I refuse to feed what the vet recommend (Purina), since I’m sure they recommended it because they sell it. No offense to the people who feed Purina and your dogs do great, but it’s just not my preference.
Also she is 2 1/2 year old, and no she isn’t blue, she is black. She has also had her heart and hips tested. Everything there is fine.
