What can I use for dog allergies with skin problems?

My dog has always had sensitive skin. Recently he rubbd his eyes raw and now they are dry, flaky and scrached to the point of being bloody. Now his eyelids are swollen. I need quick relief until he can see his vet. What can I use temporarily on his eyes to soothe the dry and itchy skin?

a shot and some medicine that we are giving him orally every morning. i just hope it works. I hate to see him scratch so much. I dont know where he could have gottan that from We bathe him, use flea and thick medicine, brush his teeth, clean his ears 2 times a week. Y??????
