Hi, Im 15 and having problems with my skin. Finding the right products to use on my skin is difficult?
and I can’t find the right foundation to suit. My skin is combination, very dry on the cheeks but oily in the t-zone. I recently bought Boots No.7 mousse foundation but it is making my skin worse. Any reccomendations on an affordable light oil-free foundation with effective coverage?
Also, I am allergic to Sodium Benzoate - a preservative used in foods and some beauty products - and if i eat foods with the chemical in it i take an allergic reaction. I bought Nivea Visage Young and it contains Sodium Benzoate. Would this cause irritation on my skin?
Thanks x
What to do about my skin problems?
Here’s the thing, I don’t have super bad skin (I do have a spot every once in a while) but I do have problems I can’t get rid of.
I have bigger pores and blackheads on my nose and my chin has blemishes and little spots. I also have blemishes between my eyebrows (so basically a T zone, but not my whole forehead). The rest of my skin is dry most of the time. Sometimes there is even some scaling (mostly above the eyebrows, on the cheeks).
My skin is always worse during my period, and about two weeks after (during ovulation) it is at it’s best.
I always take of my make up with wipes for sensitive and dry skin. Then I use a cleanser (not a milk but it’s a water like substance without oil). I only moisturize when it’s absolutely necessary because I find that if I use it daily, I get spots?
I have dark circles under my eyes. The colour I can deal with, but there is a height difference? Any solution to that?
The biggest problem is my nose.. I think it looks bad. I don’t wear much foundations as I have freckles and when I cover them it looks fake. But even the slightest bit of foundation (even quite transparent ones) leave my nose looking worse than before?
Anyone suggestions?

How do I manage my skin problems?
I’m almost 30 and I still battle with acne, not terribly, but get the odd zit popping up at the worst possible times. But, I also have dry skin and even have fine lines starting to show on my forehead and near my eyes. If I use moisturizer, I break out. If I treat the acne, I dry out. I’ve bought a combination face wash and it dries me out too. I’m always being told by my close friend that I need to use lotion because I look dry, but as soon as I do, I’m dealing with zits. I’d rather dry than zitty…. but really, it’s not attractive. Any products that you can recommend??? My zits don’t necessarity break out in the t-zone, they pop up wherever and whenever. HELP!
What types of skin care products should I use?
I am 23 years old and I have had acne in my T zone since I was teenager. I have combination skin, mostly oily on the T zone, and I’ve used Spectro Gel since high school but it doesn’t seem to be working very well these days. I’m looking for good skin care products to use and how often to use them.
Which Skin Care Brand is the best: Clearasil, Neutrogena or Clean and Clear?
I’m African American my skin is Combination/T-zone. I hardly ever get pimples anymore just the ocassional breakout or two every month. I’ve been using AMBI for about 6 months now and it’s no good. What’s a good Skin Care Brand to try that’s over the counter.
What is a good line of skin care products?
My skin is acne prone and I have an oily T-zone. I need something gentle yet effective and won’t dry my skin out.
skin care?
just watched a programme on channel four about the truth in the anti-ageing claims beauty companies say. Basically it was proven that its all just a load of bull and if you spend £4 to £80 it’l make no difference. The thing is i have tried everything, from natural skin care, to fancy packaging, to really expensive itmes but nothing agrees with my skin so i was wondering if anyone can give me reviews on their skin care products, my skin has an oily t-zone with dry cheeks and im prone to break outs, and as that programme has just proven you dont need to spend loads so obviously the less i have to pay the better.
