Please help me with my kitten, something is wrong and I dont know what (skin problem)?
Dizzy Dino Doll asked:
My boyfriend’s mom recently got 2 kittens from a lady who was overwhelmed with litters. Theywere outdoor kittens, since we got them they were only outside once and were under constant supervision. I noticed a few days ago that one of the kittens had a bit of fur behind his left ear matted down. We didnt think much of it, maybe it got wet or they were playing and got a little too frisky. But a days went on and he lost some hair, in a circular pattern and we noticed some bleeding in the middle of the circle. I cut the fur and saw a scab. We thought maybe it was ringworm and the scab was from scratching, but soon we noticed a deep, but small (in diameter) hole. Our treatment (given by myself a freshman in Pre-Vet and an RN.. not exactly the best diagnostic team for a kitten, Im aware) has been anti-fungul cream on the bare skin and iodine on the hole.
As far as his spirit goes, he is still really playful and loveable. Were just playing the waiting game to go the vet due to $ reasons.

Dog’s cast causing skin problems?
pr3ciousgurlie972 asked:
I have a little Pomeranian that broke his leg around 4 1/2 weeks ago. It hasn’t fully healed yet and my vet told me he might take another 4-6 weeks to fully recover. At first I was concern because when I went to the ER the first night the vet there told me to get his cast change every week or two, while my regular vet told me that he will be fine with the same cast on until his leg is healed. Does anyone know who is right? Also, I am worried cause I started to notice him licking and chewing on his cast lately. So, today I took a look at the top part of his leg and his skin seemed to be dry and with red spots. Should he get his cast change to avoid any bacteria or any skin problems? They never prescribe me with any antibiotics to prevent any infections, because they told me he wouldn’t need it. Can someone please help me with my concerns.

Bull terrier and skin problems?
itsme asked:
Well I have a white Bull Terrier pup and recently I found out they are prone to skin problems. My puppy is loosing hair in little spots all over his body. I am taking him to the vet tomorrow for a skin scraping to rule out mange, although I know it’s not mange.Because my other dog shows no symptoms. And puppy has bumps it comes with it so I’m pretty sure its an skin allergy.
So does anyone else have a Bull Terrier and have the same problems. And if so what was the treatment and is it expensive.
Any info would help-thanks
so I should change his diet. what is a good dog food that doesn’t have all that stuff in it.

I have tried oatmeal baths, lotions for dogs, even that expensive hot spot spray, to no avail nothing is working and he is a mess. He is going bald near his rear and the vet says it may be something he will have to live with.
Please help!

Question regarding skin problems with puppies. ?
Catherine C asked:
We’ve tried every kind of shampoo and even conditioner, but my 5 month old puppy still has flakes, itches a lot, and even has a rash next to his private area. The Doctor says its just allergies, so he said to give him a baby Benadryl. That still didn’t work and his skin is just as bad. What could it be? I don’t really trust what the vet has to say.
