my dog is a rotwiler germen sherpard mix and he has been scraching him self uncontrolably.His skin is now like a weid almost purple color and he has sores all over his body.he will wake up from a soud sleep and eather start to lick or itch him self. Has anyone had skin problems after playing with moon sand? We spent 5 hours in ER after my son put it on his
face. It looked like a chemical burn. ER Doc said bad bizzare rash. He had moon sand on his nose near the rash. I just read about a dog dying. And I am very concerned. They said it could be an allergic reaction, but my son has never had a rash since he was a baby and never on his face. I was crying it was so bad. It looked like a serious burn with a huge blister! I am very concered and would love any info anyone has.
Also thought I would add that he has Never been allergic to anything. This was very sudden and it went away last night and came back and spread to arms today and then went away.He was in alot of pain from the burning. If moon sand is NON-TOXIC and can’t be absorbed into skin like they say, then how could a six year with non-sensative skin need to go to the ER after pressing his cheek in it? He seems to be ok now.
