Lemon is used for the skin care. The juice of lemon is used.
I used a mixture of strawberries and apple cider vinager when I was a teenager to combat acne. Worked for me, but strawberries can be kind of expensive.
If you want to get better ideas, just walk down the skin care isle of your nearest grocery store. Those products have every fruit known to man in them - lemons, papyas, mangos, avacados, apricots, apples, grapes (oh, grapeseed oil is good), etc. . .
